Ingredients
Scale
- 10 boneless, skinless chicken thighs (you can also use chicken breasts)
- 16 oz sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- At least 1 tablespoon garlic powder (feel free to use more for extra flavor)
- 4 sleeves of Ritz crackers, crushed
- 1 stick of melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a mixing bowl, generously season the sour cream with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Coat each piece of chicken by dipping it into the seasoned sour cream, ensuring it’s fully covered.
- Roll the chicken in the crushed Ritz crackers, pressing gently so the crumbs adhere evenly.
- Arrange the coated chicken pieces on the prepared baking sheet.
- Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the chicken.
- Bake for about 45 minutes, or until the chicken is golden, crispy, and thoroughly cooked.
Notes
- Seasoning: For beginners, try around 1/2 – 1 tsp salt, 1/4 – 1/2 tsp pepper, and 1-2 tsp garlic powder for 10 chicken thighs. You can always adjust next time!
- Sour Cream: Sour cream is moist, which helps the chicken stay tender. Just make sure to coat the chicken evenly and press the cracker crumbs on gently so they stick well.
- Melted Butter: One stick of melted butter for 10 thighs might be a lot. You could try using a bit less or brushing it on instead of drizzling to control the amount.
- Crushing Ritz: When crushing the Ritz crackers, don’t make them too fine if you want a nice crispy and textured coating. Some bigger pieces are good!
