- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 (10 oz) can of chopped Rotel tomatoes
- 1 (13-16 oz) bag of plain Doritos
- 1 1/2 cups chopped onions
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
Instructions
1. Prepare the Ground Beef and Onions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and onions over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onions are soft. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
2. Make the Casserole Mixture
- In a large bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, water, Rotel tomatoes, and the cooked beef and onion mixture. Stir until well blended.
3. Assemble the Casserole
- Spread half of the Doritos on the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish, forming an even layer.
- Pour the beef and soup mixture over the Doritos, covering them completely.
- Top with the remaining Doritos for a second crunchy layer.
- Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese evenly on top.
4. Bake the Casserole
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
