  • 1 bag (9.75 oz) Nacho Cheese Doritos, lightly crushed

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican cheese blend
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/2 cup Catalina dressing (or ranch for a different twist)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Meat: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned. Drain excess grease and stir in the taco seasoning according to package instructions. Let it cool slightly.
  2. Prepare the Veggies: While the beef is cooking, chop the lettuce, dice the tomatoes and onions, and slice the olives.
  3. Assemble the Salad: In a large mixing bowl, layer the lettuce first, followed by the cooked taco meat.
  4. Add Toppings: Sprinkle the tomatoes, onions, black olives, and shredded cheese evenly over the top.
  5. Crunch It Up: Just before serving, mix in the lightly crushed Doritos for that signature crunch.
  6. Dress and Toss: Drizzle the Catalina dressing over the salad and gently toss everything together to ensure even coating.
